A little about me and Traditional Tantra Yoga (read more)

Classical Tantra to me is a lesson in remembering how to be happy.

We are conditioned to worry or be 'on the look out' by our upbringing, life experiences and culture.

We learn fear, worry and mistrust, or just that we should be 'on the go' - then our world is not a place that's easy to relax in.

Habits become reality and being on the hyper alert then becomes our default state.

We know that stress and worry are bad for us, that we are supposed to relax.

Do you remember how to relax? Do you remember what it feels like to deeply relax?

Tantra reminded me of a feeling of freeness that my adult life had pushed to the side - a feeling of enjoying being.

When you relax your innate sense of wellness and contentment can resurface, you can meet with yourself again.

This is something you can choose to practice and the more you do, the more it becomes your every day experience.

Its a misconception that we function best always on the alert. Living like this creates fatigue and disharmony in our system.

So this is one way to learn how to relax, this is one system to remember how to live as a free, happy person.

For me, I cant think of a better job than helping people learn to enjoy their existence.

Tantra Yoga is at The BodyMind Studio St Georges Road Saturday afternoon at 4pm. Open to all levels of fitness as long as you can get on and off the floor unaided.
